If you don’t have a large number of items on your site for sale, a PayPal button may be all you need to bring in a little cash or to subsidize the cost of shipping a promotional item (ideal use case). If you don’t already have a company PayPal account, establishing one is easy.

Although this video covers the “Donate” function, the sales function are similar and similarly easy to set up.

It’s a dirty job, but somebody is going to have to be the Facebook-Twitter-Yelp-Flick’r-YouTube functionary in your office. If you had been paying attention, you would have noticed that a large fraction of your officemates’ time was being spent dinking around online with social media apps anyway; why not nominate one of those slackers to be your web representative?
The Wall Street Journal WSJ Blogs (a WordPress joint, BTW) suggests this very thing:

As social media grows, many executives and business owners are trying to figure out what difference a tweet or Facebook post can make to their bottom lines. And as a recent Wall Street Journal article points out, it’s often the younger employees in the workplace who are leading the way.
“In the companies where we see a high-level executive really ‘getting it,’ there’s a younger person in the company helping them understand it,” said Laura Fitton, whose company Pistachio Consulting coaches executives on how to use Twitter for business.

Save all content (pictures, text, etc.) from your current site, if you have one.
Establish a 5 or 10 dollar a month Linux hosting account with a hosting provider like GoDaddy.com. We can do this for you if you like.
Point your current domain name [yourbusinessnamehere.com] to the new hosting account– this will require: a) the domain name’s owner’s presence (you, presumably) and b) access to your current hosting account, and c) access to your new hosting account. In other words, you will need a computer and quite possibly a phone if you need to call your accounts for assistance. We can help you, or we can do this for you
–OR– grab a new domain name. We casn help you with this.
Establish a webmail email account to which we can have initial and temporary access. Later you can change your password. We’ll be happy to do this for you.
